MBA - MASTER OF BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION
Considered as one of the most popular post-graduate programs in India and abroad. The two-year program is an excellent gateway to the corporate sector starting from the post of trainee managers to top-notch positions of an organization like a chief executive officer. The important aspect to be considered about MBA is that the pg degree can be pursued by students of any background irrespective of science, commerce, or humanities. The normal time period for the course is two years divided either into four or six semesters. Interested Candidates can pursue MBA in different modes such as regular/online / distance education, where full-time/regular is the most common one.
MBA/ PGDM - The most common words which confuse a lot of aspirants in the management field are MBA /PGDM. When MBA is expanded as Master Of Business Administration, PGDM stands for Post Graduate Diploma In Management . When PGDM has the term " diploma " a lot of students consider the course as a diploma course and not as a degree course and tend to think that diploma course has a lesser value. However, that is not true the only difference between the courses is institutes offer the program. When an MBA degree is affiliated with any university, The PGDM is offered through institutes that are autonomous bodies. Even the IIM 'S which is considered to be the premium institute of management studies in India offer a PGDM certification to students. On the other hand Executive, MBA is another program which is designed for candidates with professional experience with more than 5-10 years to enhance their management skill
ADMISSION PROCEDURE - Even though different institutes follow different methods of selection of candidates, the common procedure follows through :
1. 60 percent aggregate score in UG examination ( may change according to institutions )

*GROUP DISCUSSION - Group Discussion analyses the confidence and communication level of candidates. The idea of GD is to find whether the candidate is able to express valid points to the discussion.
* PERSONAL INTERVIEW: The session identifies the attitude and interest of candidates regarding management and general current affairs.
